Most excellent Soren - an amazing location and some beautiful black and white images! I'm glad to see that you captured the dragons best side...you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of the Mother of Dragons! 😉
Thank you, Lin. It is a crazy spot. Every time I see these things, I always wonder about who carried the building materials all the way up there. And yes, the dragons were away for the day... fishing, I should think!
Love the photos and the narrative, Søren. That’s an amazing coastline. I have to admit, however, that I’ve not watched GOT and it holds no interest for me.
Not to worry, Mark. GOT is fascinating in so many respects, and less so in others, but I do like that you can actually go to some of the places and see where it was filmed. They did a very good job at scouting great locations! And you can see from the colour shot of the castle that they did a neat job of doing animation over existing sites. It is pretty interesting. The fact that you like the photos with no reference to GOT makes me very happy!
Thank you for a beautiful story and beautiful pictures. I especially like Dragon Skin II and it seems in Eggs III that one of them might be close to hatching.
Have you visited many places from this list since the show was filmed? I've been to Girona several times and, of course, saw the cathedral, but that was before it became famous for Cersei's Walk of Shame. I'd love to revisit Girona and see it again, this time with a GOT perspective.
The GOT list is quite long, and I have only been to a few places, but this one I know, because it is so close to where I live. I have still to get to Girona. I have been to the two main sites in Morocco and to a couple of the spots in Ireland. Some before and some after the show. It would be fun to re-watch and then go again. I have not done that.
I had no idea that dragon skin looked so good in B&W.
In the right light you get really interesting texture. If feels quite alien.
Beautiful shots! Thank you for sharing. I’m looking forward to your images of the dragon‘s arrival.
There is always one smartass... I will most certainly post when they hatch! 😁
I bet!! 🤓
Oh yee of little faith....
😁😉
Fascinating place, amazing images! You are fortunate to be so close!
I am indeed. It is pretty cool there. Lot of steps though.....
The striations of that dragon skin are unbelievable. Amazing shots!
Thank you, Jonathan, it is pretty incredible. The force it must have taken to form is something else.
that was fun.
You have to pay them credit for their locations.
I used to work with some location scouts back in the day. They worked hard. It is not easy!

Very cool series. I love geology like this. And put together with a fun and adventurous story….
(When my kids were younger, I used to comment about the “dragon poop” we’d come across in our forest walks — they were actually large pine cones…)
Love the pine cones!! Were your kids scared?
😆 Not in the least 😉
🤣😂🤣😂
Love the rock textures.
Hi Andy, yes, it is very cool to see, and very alien at the same time.
My Grandmother was Basque. She never told me any dragon stories. You posted beautiful imagery and an engaging story.
Hah, Frank! I think you Grandmother probably predates Game of Thrones? Just a hunch. Thank you for the kind words!
Good photos and thanks for making me discover that place. I'll have to go on my way South.
Glad you like them, Cedric. Do stop. It is definitely worth it.....
I love your photos! What a beautiful coast. I am glad you didn‘t get to meet the mother of the dragon eggs!
Thanks, Susanne! I too am pleased that I was left in peace to make a few photographs!

It was interesting to see the CGI addition of the castle. That was very cool. However, the real life version is just as spectacular.
Thank you for a beautiful story and beautiful pictures. I especially like Dragon Skin II and it seems in Eggs III that one of them might be close to hatching.
That’s the spirit! Thank you. I appreciate the kind words, Klamo!
Those eggs are fab! Great images Soren.
Thank you, Shital, it is pretty cool there!

Absolutely stunning! I am a huge GOT fan and this place is on my travel list. 🙌🏻
Glad you enjoyed your little virtual visit! Come back soon.
